Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the My Memory Mailbox website, the waitlist, and — when it launches — the My Memory Mailbox service (together, the “Service”). My Memory Mailbox is currently pre-launch: today the Service consists of a waitlist and this website. By joining the waitlist or using the site, you agree to these Terms.

Who can use the Service

The Service is offered to adults (18 or older) who are the parent or guardian of the child whose memories they wish to record. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and for activity that happens under your account.

Joining the waitlist

• Joining the waitlist reserves your interest — it does not guarantee access to the Service, a place in any launch group, or any particular price.
• Pricing, features, and availability described before launch are subject to change and are not an offer or a binding commitment.
• We may contact you about early access and product updates. You can unsubscribe from these messages at any time (see also our SMS Terms for text-message specifics).
• We may close, pause, or change the waitlist at any time.

Your content and who owns it

You own the memories and other content you submit. We do not claim ownership of your content. To operate the Service and make your keepsakes, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, format, and print your content into physical books and gifts, and to provide, back up, and secure the Service. This license exists only so we can deliver what you ask us to deliver, and it ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we must retain to complete an order already placed or to meet a legal obligation.

You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to share it. Please don’t submit content that is unlawful or that infringes someone else’s rights.

Print products, orders, and returns

Keepsake books and gifts are custom, personalized products made from your content. This returns policy is a plain, pre-launch standard and will be finalized before any store goes live:

• Defects and misprints: if a printed item arrives damaged, defective, or misprinted, contact us and we will replace it or make it right.
• Personalized items: because each item is personalized to you, we generally cannot accept returns or offer refunds on completed personalization for reasons other than a defect or our error.
• Pricing, shipping, and timelines for print products will be presented at the time of purchase once the store is live.

Note: no store or checkout exists yet. This section is a placeholder standard and will be replaced with final commerce terms before any product is sold.

Acceptable use

Please use the Service as intended. Don’t attempt to disrupt or misuse it, access it in violation of law, or use it to store or distribute content you have no right to share. We may suspend or end access that violates these Terms.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and pre-launch features may change or not ship.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Memory Mailbox will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, protect, retain, and delete your information, and is part of these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service develops, especially as we move from waitlist to launch. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
